Chapter 235 Hidden Secret(Part 2)

In fact, they were all people who would even sacrifice their children for the future of the family, but what Zephyr failed to comprehend was that the very act of casting Raydon aside and leaving him to die would bring even greater shame to the family than his disability ever could.

It was true that when other families learned that a child with a disability was born into this family, they might think that their future is not bright because they believe that the perfection of the family\'s genes has been lost. But for Zephyr, such rumors were of no consequence, as he would have been even more troubled by the rumors that other families were spreading behind their backs, saying that they were ashamed of their children and had murdered him.

\'\'It\'s not what you really think, Mr. Zephyr. As he mentioned earlier, at that point in time, we considered it to be the most viable option. Even after all this time, I still don\'t know whether it\'s a good thing or a bad thing that he\'s still alive. \'\' With much hesitation, Thalia spoke up.

\'\'What are you saying? Naturally, the fact that he is still alive and even has the potential to reach a high rank is good for our family. \'\' Seren continued while glaring at Thalia as if she were an idiot.

\'\'I had no idea how farsighted our family leader was until now. He must have seen the potential in Raydon regardless of the fact that he has a disability, and despite your best efforts, he saved the future of our family by keeping him alive. \'\'

\'\'It\'s true that he wanted to keep him alive because he recognized the potential that was contained within him. But there\'s more to it than that. \'\' Cael said in a heavy tone.

"What on earth are you two trying to conceal from us?" Zephyr\'s realization that something was amiss led to impatience as he posed the question. The behavior of these two had changed noticeably since the start of the meeting, and their intentions were now shrouded in mystery, making it difficult for others to comprehend their thoughts.

\'\'Cael, you know how important this is to us, and whatever you\'re hiding from us, you have to tell us right now. \'\'Arden stated, finally reaching the point where he could no longer withstand the mounting tension and secrecy. They had finally found the ideal resource for their family\'s future, and he didn\'t want to risk losing it due to the stupid secrets that these two idiots were keeping.

Cael briefly caught Thalia\'s gaze and then spoke in a solemn tone as soon as he noticed that she was nodding her head.

"What you don\'t know is that it wasn\'t because he was disabled that we decided to kick Raydon out of the family. \'\'

"Then, why?"

After contemplating for a moment under the watchful gaze of curious onlookers, Cael rose from his seat and spoke up. "I had hoped to handle this issue independently, but it appears I made a grave mistake. It is evident that this matter is no longer within my control, and we must seek our father\'s input."

After that, he exited the room in order to finally inform the head of the family, leaving everyone else to occupy themselves with their own questions.

"Where the fuck is my room?" As Raydon explored the vast hallways of the enormous mansion, he reflected on his surroundings while looking around.

When Raydon came out of the meeting room, he realized that there was no one to accompany him in this mansion. He didn\'t want to return to the room to ask for another maid because he was the one who made Tika, who was supposed to accompany him, unable to walk. Therefore, he would look like an idiot if he went back inside and asked for someone to help him.

Despite the fact that Raydon was able to recall the majority of his experiences from his time spent in this mansion, he was having trouble finding his room because the building was so large and many things had been altered over the years. Even so, he had no idea whether or not the old room he had occupied in this building still belonged to him.

\'In addition to that, the attitude of everyone is beginning to grate on my nerves. \' Raydon mused this to himself as he observed that the servants he had encountered had ignored him and had not even looked at him.

He had tried to inquire with at least three different maids about the location of his room, but none of them reacted to him in any way, making it appear as though they were blind to his presence.

Raydon had the thought, "If I didn\'t know they were doing this on purpose, I would really think that I\'m invisible," as he watched another maid pretend not to see him while she cleaned the floors.

\'\'Why do I have to continue to put up with this? If you choose to ignore me, I will show you something that you simply cannot ignore. \'\' Raydon\'s patience had reached its breaking point, and dark flames began to swirl menacingly around his body. However, his attention was abruptly diverted as a cold voice pierced through the air, calling out to him from behind.

\'\'Looks like you\'re lost, young master. \'\'

As Raydon turned around, his gaze met the figure of Diam, the head maid, who stood at the end of the hall in her usual maid attire, approaching him with determined steps.

\'At long last, I\'ve found someone who doesn\'t ignore me. But I guess I would have preferred it if she had ignored me as well, because for some reason I get nervous every time I see her. \'  Raydon thought, feeling a sense of relief. However, a peculiar sensation of unease washed over him whenever he encountered Diam. He couldn\'t quite put his finger on why, but there was an undeniable tension between them that made him uneasy.
