Chapter 97 Grand Launching [Revised]

September was a busy month.

The House of Blacksmith began work on the mass production of the Elemental Gun. Dozens of large container trucks filled the parking lot, unloading tons of raw materials. These heavy vehicles came from California, sent by the Divine Ursine Alliance.

Inside the factories, workers struggled with melting machines, melting various types of metals such as aluminum, sponge ore, and other polymeric metals. These hot molten metals were poured into molds to be made into weapon components.

"Bring me a gerindra!"

"Make sure the receiver is 20 cm. No more or less!"

"Engine C21 is empty. Please bring us iron ore here!"

The workers worked diligently despite the heat. They were assigned their own tasks. Some cut, some shaped, and some made components.

When all the components were finished, they assembled the Elemental Gun and sent it to the Mors Industries warehouse before sending it again to the factory in Sunset Park Industrial. Elizabeth kept her promise; this factory was a gift from her after losing the coin toss game.

There, Jonathan and a few select crew members affixed runes to the Elemental Gun so that this artificial arcana could function properly.

Of course, there weren\'t just blue-collar workers struggling with work.

A similar atmosphere pervaded Mors Industries\' headquarters on Wall Street.

All employees were working overtime. They sat in front of their computers from sunrise to night. Every department was working hard to prepare Elemental Gun for the market.

The marketing team was busy promoting the Elemental Gun before the grand launching. They advertised their flagship product through influencer awakener, social media, campaigns, and advertising events.

"The Black Serpent Guild ordered 50 units of Elemental Gun. Please convey it to the chairman."

"Sorry, sir. Even if you were born in New York, as long as your domicile is out of state, we cannot help you."

"We will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you."

At the same time, the product sales team was busy receiving dozens of calls from customers. In addition to channeling products through distributors, they also served pre-order requests. After the introduction of the Elemental Gun at the Golden Expo, almost all guilds in the USA contacted Mors Industries. They were very interested in the Elemental Gun.

However, Mors Industries only limited pre-orders to guilds in New York for the time being. The reason was because Mors Industries wanted to gain huge profits from regular sales.

Besides being busy marketing the Elemental Gun, the company was also working on their latest product. The Product Development team was working on prototypes from Klaus\' blueprints.

They were trying to make other artificial arcana that were more practical; such as spatial rings, armor, and melee weapons. It was because of a slight change in the agreement between Mors Industries and the Divine Ursine Alliance.

When Alexa came to their headquarters, Jacob asked for some terms to be changed. In the original agreement, the Divine Ursine Alliance would get early access to the latest weapons from Mors Industries. And now, he added a stipulation for the Divine Ursine Alliance to get special weapons that only they could have.

In the other hand, Golden Hammer Company also did their job.

A hammer logo with a gold chain was plastered on almost every billboard in New York City. Terry Owen opened more new stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Besides being a well-known auction house, Golden Hammer was also experienced in distribution. There were thousands of overseas companies and guilds working with Golden Hammer to distribute products all over the US.

Terry also kept his promise to Klaus to revive SoHo. With his connections, he invited alchemist guilds and merchants to open outlets in this area.

As of June, there were at least 102 stores from 53 different vendors. Where there were ants, there was sugar. Their presence attracted many people to SoHo.

In this cold fall season, everyone was putting their best effort into the success of Elemental Gun.

...

Rays of Hope Headquarters, South Houston, Manhattan.

The practice hall that was always filled with shouts and clashing sounds seemed different from usual. The members were not practicing, they were huddled on the outskirts of the hall, watching a photo session.

Under the bright lights hanging from the ceiling, two nearly naked women pose for the camera. One was a red-haired woman wearing a white bra and mini hotpant jeans. While holding a gun, she clasps her arms to her chest.

The other was a woman with black hair and exotic skin. She was wearing a floral bikini and holding the same gun. Her two massive breasts bounce whenever she changed poses following the photographer\'s direction.

"Holyshit. I just realized that Sylvia really hot."

"Ugh, Olvia. I\'m willing to not get paid for a month as long as I can bury my face in those milk-shakers."

"You\'d probably die before you could do that."

"I don\'t mind."

Klaus listened to the lascivious whispers of his subordinates, but he let it slide.

It was a photo session to promote Elemental Gun.

Just like Justin, Klaus used Sylvia and Olivia to be the advertising stars.

He had been introducing Justin as the face of Rays of Hope, but now he wanted to showcase the other members. Of course, Klaus chose members who were physically attractive.

Sylvia was a charming woman despite her tomboyish appearance. With a little makeup and a sexy outfit, she could steal the hearts of every man who saw her.

And Klaus\' prediction was not wrong, the male members could not keep their eyes off Sylvia during this photo session. They has been standing with horny faces for 20 minutes.

As for Olivia, there was no doubt about it. Her curvy body, exotic skin, big boobs, and long black hair were effective weapons to excite the men. She was a 10 despite her bad temper.

By making the two of them the face of the guild, Klaus hoped that Rays of Hope would attract attention from men. It would be great if they created a fanbase like Justin\'s fangirl.

"You\'ve been looking at them with a smile. Do you like any of them, boss?"

Sheila woke Klaus from his reverie. The short-haired woman had been standing next to him all along.

Klaus sighed. "I\'m too bad for something like that. The last time I liked a woman, people wanted to kill me. I\'m not getting married."

Sheila giggled. She thought Klaus was joking, but he was talking about his past.

"Your mother would cry to hear you say that," Sheila quipped. "You\'re the heir to a conglomerate family. You have to carry on your lineage, leave a legacy."

When Klaus heard the word lineage, his brow furrowed. What Sheila said made him realize that he had never thought about legacy.

He was an immortal being. Getting married and having offspring were irrelevant to him. However, Klaus now changed his mind.

Klaus was no longer a Deathbringer, but a grandson of a conglomerate.

After living for almost 19 years in this world, Klaus felt a wide range of emotions. Happy, sad, grief, warmth, embarrassment, and most importantly comfort. He got all that from his family. Thanks to a strict father, a loving mother, and an annoying little sister.

Klaus knew that someday they would die, and he was ready for that despite he didn\'t know what he would do next. However, Anna once told Klaus.

"I will never leave you, my boy. I will always watch over you from the sky after my death. I want you to live happily with your family."

This words always stuck in his mind.

For hundreds of years of life, Klaus had always been alone. He never had anything definite to protect or something that made him feel at home. He always wandered without direction.

Family was something he had never felt. And when he felt it, he forgot hundreds of years of his life.

"Legacy, huh? Sounds interesting," Klaus muttered.

"So what\'s up, boss? Do you like any of them?" Sheila squinted. She sounded very curious.

Klaus sighed and turned to Sheila. "I don\'t know. I\'ve never found the right person. Do you want to build a family with me?"

Sheila suddenly blushed. "Eh? What?" Her face twisted in confusion.

Klaus laughed. "I was just joking."

Instantly, Sheila breathed a sigh of relief. But at the same time, she felt a little disappointed.

In the middle of their conversation, Justin arrived. The guild master smiled as he drew close to him.

"Huft! Everything went well Klaus!"

Klaus raised his eyebrows. "Did you get it?"

"Yup! We get exclusive rights to raid the dungeon. Purple and indigo. As well as humiliating that damn old man." Justin laughed.

Director Logan and his men came to Rays of Hope to establish a cooperative relationship. The old man offered them exclusive dungeon rights, as proof of their commitment. Of course, it was just gimmick. His true intention was Mors Industries.

So, Klaus leave it to Justin, asking him to deal Director Logan. He didn\'t put his trust on him, but to the old man. Klaus was sure that Director Logan wouldn\'t dare do anything before he got what he wanted.

"By the way, what do we do next?" Justin asked. He was very excited after giving Director Logan a lesson.

Smiling, Klaus replied, "Nothing. Just waiting for the grand launch of Elemental Gun."
