Chapter 578 Situation around the globe-3

Chapter 578 Situation around the globe-3

"Do Hyun, what did they say before cutting ties with us?" He asked his youngest son, who was head of their marketing department.

" They didn\'t say anything. There was still few months left before our contract expired but they promptly paid us for breach of contract before going radio silent." Do Hyun replied seriously. He knew the impact it was going to have on their company.

" That\'s not entirely true! I heard from my people that the order came from high above, not even the person responsible for overseeing their asian market knew about it which only means that it was one of the large shareholder of their parent company." One of the member spoke out.

" Did he tell you the reason?" Joo Woo turned toward him ask.

" That-, he did."

" So, what are you waiting for? A ceremony!?" He lashed out.

" He was certain that it was because we recently let go of one of our senior manager." He said with hesitation.

" What are you even talking about? Do you even know who are we dealing with? An international conglomerate! How can a manager have any sway over their decision!?"

" I can attest to that, I heard similar rumours." Do hyun came to support him because it was one of his people. With bull blown succession war, every vote counts and since his brother was not here, he was ready to pull in few more people by showing that he was willing to stand up to his father for them.

" Rumours are called rumour for a reason. Who was this person that got fired?"

" It\'s Kim sir."

" Kim? That big guy that\'s been with us since the beginning? What happened?" Apparently, Kim had left quite an impression on the old man. Even Joo Woo thought he was a diligent worker that always showed his respect whenever they passed by.

" It\'s connected to the recent scandal in the Agency Department."

" That thing that I have been hearing in the news? But wasn\'t it about one of our idols? Why was he fired?"

" It\'s something to do with with Hyung." Do Hyun said plainly but didn\'t give any details.

" Jung? Why wasn\'t it in my daily report?"

" I didn\'t want to put it in there because it was concerning his department. I didn\'t want to put him in bad light even though we didn\'t get along." He said with a serious face. His father nodded commending his character.

His youngest son was the most talented in his eyes, he liked his personality because he was direct and didn\'t fear him as much as his older brother did. He could have handed over the company long ago if not that his youngest lacked experience and he also had to give a fair chance to his older sibling.

" Explain it to me without holding anything back." Do Hyun predicted that he would ask him. It was a matter of company\'s image, his father would put anything aside to preserve it\'s heritage.

He told him everything that he knew, what happened during concert and how their idol got exposed and the agency department\'s lack of oversight to quell the flames early own. From his perspective things shouldn\'t have went this far to begin with if his brother acted a tad bit early.

He wasn\'t aware why his brother did it but that didn\'t matter in front of his father\'s eyes. When he learned that the sales and popularity of the company was elevated to a higher level because of the music video, he furrowed his brows sensing something going on behind the scenes.

" Where is Jung? I want to here his explanation." He didn\'t make any decision because he wanted to be fair. His secretary whispered something in his ears which only made him furious!

" Drag that bastard here right now!" He said almost slapping the tabletop.

Few minutes later, Jung was in front of him hungover and disoriented. His hair and clothes were disorganized because he was \'busy\' with one of the assistant!

He immediately sobered up when he saw his father\'s fiery eyes.

" What\'s been going on with your department lately? I have been hearing a lot of negative news about our agency."

" Everything is fine father. I am doing by best to drive public sentiments in our favour."

" What about recent firings? Did you fire a senior employee without consulting the board members." hearing his question, Jung looked around.

He could swear that people that supported his idea were hiding away like coward just because his father was present. In other times, they would lick his boot saying that the company was certainly his.

" You bastards! I will get you next time." He swore to himself before calming himself down. At first he got to think of a proper excuse to neutralize his father\'s fury.

" I did. It was Kim, he has been going around companies back doing as he pleased. In recent concert he even brought on a unknown artist because of which one of our idol from the group got into a little bit of scandal."

" I have seen the video. It doesn\'t seem much to me, why didn\'t you put out a statement clarifying the situation? Last I heard if not for this \'unknown\' man the show had to be cancelled right?" Joon Woo hit the nail right on it\'s head.

" I couldn\'t. The public sentiment turned too quickly which was why I thought it was better for us to let her go. They were barely bringing in money-"

" Why the fuck would you do that without consulting me? I am looking at the numbers and the song is topping the charts for few days without showing any signs of coming down! Isn\'t that akin of bringing in money?"

Jung already had an answer ready," We already own that song. Beside, their growth had been stagnating for last few years. I thought it was better to squeeze as much value out of them before letting them go."

" Them? What are you talking about?" Joon Woo didn\'t know that both bands left the day prior. It was something Jung wanted to keep from his father as long as possible. Once the hype died down, he could have told him without him making any fuss about it.

" It\'s the idol group, SK and Grace Generation. They left along with Kim." He braced himself for his father\'s fury.
