Chapter 290: Chapter 290 - Majestic Blue Aura
Chapter 290: - Majestic Blue Aura
Ingolf\'s eyes widened with awe. "My Lord, this is the smoothest +8 upgrade I\'ve ever seen in my entire career as a blacksmith. If it were up to me, I\'d stop at +8 for now and use the remaining resources on the other equipment."
"But isn\'t +9 the safe point?"
Ingolf gave a hesitant smile. "Yes, My Lord."
Broken responded with a confident smile and decided to continue with the upgrade. With a single attempt, he successfully boosted the gloves to +9.
Ingolf visibly exhaled a sigh of relief; this was the most intense yet rewarding upgrade he had ever witnessed.
"I must say, your friend\'s words about your overwhelming luck seem to be true, My Lord. But do you think you can achieve the same with the other armor pieces?"
[+9 Invincible Paragon Gloves]
[Grade: Epic]
[Strength +59
Attack Speed +82
Defense +236]
Broken smiled and stored the gloves back into his inventory. "Let\'s work on the other pieces now, Ingolf," he said.
Broken decided to take a new approach with the remaining pieces of the Invincible Armor set. He focused on upgrading them all to +6 first before attempting to go any higher. He started with the helmet. +1, +2, +3, failed, failed, +4, failed back to +3.
Broken paused for a moment. Upgrading was proving to be less smooth than he had hoped, even with his blacksmith skills and good Luck status he had.
"Still, the upgrades you\'ve done are remarkable, My Lord," Ingolf said.
Broken smiled, took a deep breath, and continued working on the helmet until he finally reached +6, though he had to use more enchantment stones than before.
Next, he proceeded with the shoes, and after several attempts, he also managed to get them to +6. He repeated the process with the armor chest, encountering even more difficulty this time. He spent almost twice as many enchantment stones compared to the other pieces, likely due to its Unique-grade status.
Pushing through, he used nearly all the remaining Medium-Quality enchantment stones, and after a tense effort, he finally upgraded every piece to +6. He sighed in relief and turned to Ingolf with a satisfied smile.
"That was truly nerve-wracking, My Lord," Ingolf said with a chuckle.
"Yes, but we nearly used up all the enchantment stones we had available. Looks like you\'ll need to work even harder, Ingolf," Broken said.
"That\'s my job, My Lord. I\'m ready to put in the effort as long as you get the results you want," Ingolf replied.
Broken contemplated upgrading his weapons as well, but he knew the challenges of upgrading higher-grade equipment. He had two Legendary-grade weapons that would undoubtedly require even more enchantment stones.
While he had plenty of options for offensive capabilities, he felt it was wiser to focus on his armor first, at least getting it to +9 across the board. Once that was done, he could then concentrate on upgrading his weapons one by one. His goal was to maximize the upgrades for both of his weapons, which would certainly require a significant amount of resources and money.
He still had enough High-Quality enchantment stones, so he decided to focus on the helmet next.
[+6 Invincible Paragon Helmet]
[Grade: Epic]
[Health +545
Mana +872]
He attempted the upgrade: +7, failed, failed, back to +6. Broken paused for a moment and took a deep breath. He then continued: +7, +8, and after several failed attempts and downgrades, he finally managed to achieve +9 on the helmet.

[Health +590
Mana +944]
He breathed a sigh of relief, feeling his body go weak with exhaustion. His hands trembled as he recalled just how many resources he had used to reach +6.
Upgrading Epic-grade items was indeed easier than Unique-grade ones, so he decided to aim for getting all his Epic-grade armor pieces to +9 before shifting focus to the higher-grade items.
He moved on to the shoes. Failed, succeeded, failed, and eventually, after using nearly twice the resources, he managed to reach +9. Not a bad outcome, but he was left with only a few enchantment stones.
Satisfied with the progress on the Epic-grade pieces, Broken knew he now needed to conserve and gather more resources for the upcoming challenging upgrades of his higher-grade gear.

[Movement Speed +177
Defense +295]
Ingolf smiled in relief as he looked at the final results. "Three pieces at +9 is the best outcome anyone could hope for, My Lord. I think we\'ve won big with such an achievement."
"Indeed," Broken responded quietly. "I\'ve heard that others might spend even twice as many stones to reach +9."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Twice the resources might still be too easy, My Lord. You may need to use up to three times the resources to achieve the same result"
Feeling satisfied with the progress, he decided to restrain himself and postpone any further enchantments for another time. However, curiosity got the better of him since he still had a few Low-Quality enchantment stones left.
He decided to use them on the Wavebreaker Spear and Moonvine Knuckles. After several attempts, he managed to get both weapons to +3, completely depleting his stash of Low-
Quality enchantment stones.
"The upgrade to the stats is really impressive," he muttered.
He then continued with the Medium-quality enchantment stones available and successfully upgraded the Wavebreaker Spear to +6.
Ingolf\'s jaw dropped at what he had just witnessed. He was utterly speechless.
Broken smiled and turned to him. "Do you think I\'m lucky?"
"That\'s more than just luck, My Lord. Upgrading a Legendary-grade Spear to +6 that easily- no one would believe it if they only heard about it," Ingolf replied, still in awe.
[+6 Wavebreaker Spear]
[Grade: Legendary]
[Attack Power: 1182-1301
Stamina +109
Constitution +163
Strength +109]
Broken was quite pleased with the new stats of the spear. He still felt an eagerness to see the spear upgraded to its maximum potential. +18 was his target. With a Legendary-grade Spear at +18, the power increase would be phenomenal. A 63% boost was no small number, though he knew he would have to wait and spend considerably more resources to achieve that goal. The upgrades to the equipment could give them a unique aura effect, with colors growing more intense as the upgrade level increased. From +1 to +9, the equipment would have a blue glow that became brighter with each level. From +10 to +18, the aura would shift to a golden hue, ranging from pale yellow to a rich gold at +18. Because of this, upgrading equipment became a status symbol and a point of pride for many players.
The WaveBreaker Spear, which originally had a black color with ocean-blue patterns, now glowed with a brilliant blue aura, giving it a more striking visual effect.
Broken spun the spear, watching the trail of light it left behind, even in the dim light of the blacksmith workshop. He smiled, quite satisfied with the outcome, though a part of him still thirsted to see the spear glowing with a majestic golden aura. Soon, he would chase that
target.
