Chapter 400: 400: Feeding Her Water

Chapter 400: 400: Feeding Her Water

The warm tongue pried open her lips, and as Enna whimpered, she felt the cool water flowing into her mouth…

Her throat was bone dry, craving more as the water moisturized it.

Instinctively, Enna closed her eyes, drawing in the sweet, clear water…

Her soft, small tongue occasionally brushed against her lips—Baron Lawrence’s lower abdomen felt like it was about to burst into flames. He suddenly regretted his decision to feed her water like this.

Enna was torturing him like this!

It was worse than being stabbed twice with a knife!

He desperately wanted to press her down onto the bed immediately, and physically show her never to tease a man during a kiss so lightly.

But…

His eyes met her still slightly pale face, and he forcibly suppressed the surge of his desire!

She had just awakened from a severe injury; he would endure it!

However, before he could bear it any longer, he decided to take a little consolation first.

Baron Lawrence patiently waited for her to draw in all the water he held before hooking his left arm around the back of her head, parting his thin lips, covering her pale ones, and deepening the kiss.

“Mm.”

His kissing skills were superb, tender yet passionate to the point of being irresistible.

Enna’s pale cheeks gradually turned a flushed red, finally giving her a healthy complexion.

Baron Lawrence, fearing she couldn’t handle it, reluctantly let go of her, even though he would have rather enveloped her into his body. Enna practically couldn’t breathe due to his intensity. She gasped for air, and her pale lips appeared much more coloured.

Baron Lawrence’s heart gradually filled with content, as the heart that had been hanging on a cliff for days finally settled in that moment!

“Do you want more water?” he asked huskily, restraining himself.

Feeling dizzy from the kiss, Enna blinked several times, regaining her senses and finding her voice, “Ah… yes.”

Baron Lawrence refilled a cup of water for her, testing the temperature before handing it over. This time he didn’t pass it mouth-to-mouth, and Enna took the cup, gulping down a large glassful. The water relieved her parched throat, and the pain finally lessened.

As her senses returned, she handed the water cup back to the man beside the bed. Hesitantly, she asked, “Baron Lawrence, how long have I been asleep?”

“Two days,” he paused, his voice darkening, “plus the time you were kidnapped, a total of four days and three nights.”

It had been that long…

“What about Bobby… Is he alright?” Enna was anxious, trying to get out of bed.

Baron Lawrence pressed her down, growling fiercely, “You stupid woman! Just ask! Don’t move around recklessly!”

After snapping, he continued with a cold face, “He was with you all night and got tired. He’s in the next room, with Scott Harris taking care of him. Don’t worry.”

He really wanted to see if her heart and liver were twisted!

Why didn’t she ask about his wellbeing during these four days?

So, she didn’t care about how he had spent these four days?!

Baron Lawrence recalled the question Wyndham Howell had asked her outside the hospital, and her silence at that time.

His heart clenched tightly!

Enna might not like him; she might have only reluctantly been with him because of Bobby.. Therefore, she didn’t ask about him because she genuinely didn’t care! The only person she cared about was Tobias Clark!
