Chapter 431

The level of loyalty to Zi Xingxi was enviable but what he didn’t know was that the incident he was threatening him was for pulling a gun on Lynn Feng. That was his baby and watching how terrified she was he couldn’t help but want to kill this man on the spot.

“You truly raised loyal dogs. It’s quite commendable,” said Yi Zhen in a mocking tone.

Zi Feiji was on the verge of losing his shit at this point. He was the most rational between him and his daughter but when he got angry he was equally ruthless.

He took out the same gun he confiscated from Zi Xingxi and placed the muzzle at the back of his head. The chill emanating from behind him told Yi Zhen that this man was serious.

He knew Zi Feiji very well because despite everything he was his senior. If it weren’t for the fact that his grandson was interested in Yi Chen he would kill him on the spot. If he were to kill him now it would put a strain on Zi Han and Yi Chen’s relationship.

“You have touched my bottom line countless times but for the sake of my grandson, I have restrained myself... Don’t you dare pull that stunt again,” he said and the cold muzzle on his nape withdrew slowly but Yi Zhen could still feel the lingering chill.

Yi Zhen heaved a silent sigh as he sat down on the ground disregarding his face as the former Marshal. His wife had thrown him out because he had gone behind her back and found trouble with Zi Han in such a messed up way instead of telling her upfront that their son was missing. She could have spoken to Zi Han and asked for help which was a much better alternative than kidnapping someone else’s child.

Lin Ruoxi had even threatened him with divorce more especially if her son couldn’t be saved. Her wife always said things out of anger but this time she was so calm when she said it and he knew she was speaking the truth.

.....

She would really do it. He wanted his family back, he wanted his family back together again. On the brink of almost losing everything, Yi Zhen could care less who his son would choose to be with. It’s a shame that he only realised this at the threat of losing everything.

Meanwhile, Zi Han had finally managed to crawl out of the slope of sand after his mother talked him through it. His mother’s comforting voice was the only light he had in this desolate land.

After crawling out he got up and began to run as fast as his legs could carry him. He knew it was only a simulation but by god, it was terrifying.

While running Zi Han’s foot tripped and he rolled down a tall dune falling into a depression with naturally formed sharp glass sticking out in the slightly hard sand.

Seeing this Zi Xingxi’s heart lurched and she panickily called out, “Lynn Feng!”

Lynn Feng who was fiercely trying to end the simulation replied anxiously, “I am trying.”

Zi Han’s vital signs were spiraling out of control by now. The simulators were meant to make it closest to reality as possible thus Zi Han felt it all. The excruciating pain of having his hands and feet cut was especially intense.

He hurriedly got up and tried to walk back to the edge of the glass-filled valley when a loud growl ripped through the air. He subconsciously took a step back but because he didn’t look he directly stepped onto an obsidian shard of glass which pierced his boot and drove straight into his flesh.

Zi Han pursed his lips. He didn’t dare make a sound as he glanced up at the creature that was searching for him at the peak of the dune. Zi Han bit his lips and breathed in and out deeply trying to prepare himself for the excruciating pain that was about to come.

With his teeth sinking into his lips, he pulled his leg up. He didn’t make a peep but the veins pulsing on his temples and red skin said everything. He was in great agony.

Zi Xingxi couldn’t watch this anymore thus she yelled, “Get that bastard in here,” her voice tremulous.

While Yi Zhen was being dragged into the room, Zi Han managed to run to the edge of the steep slope of sand and pressed his back there hiding. The creature growled and snarled atop the slope while moving about in annoyance. Each time it moved a river of sand would stream down the slope and partially bury Zi Han.

Zi Han didn’t dare move. He let the sand cover him with no complaints. The creature soon got tired of trying to get Zi Han so it made a move to leave but there was suddenly the sound of a broken down hovercraft ripping through the sky.

Zi Han removed some of the sand from his face and took a look. The hovercraft caught a glimpse of the creature and tried to turn back with a sharp turn but it was too late. With a swing of its tail, the hovercraft was swatted out of the sky.

It came crashing down while Zi Han hurriedly got out of the blanket of sand covering his body. That’s because an avalanche of sand came rushing down. It was as a result of the creature’s rapid movements that he was about to get buried in more sand.

Zi Han managed to dodge in time but he still got half his body buried in red sand. He coughed out a mouthful of sand as he gazed up looking at the creature that was slithering trying to get down the slope but it kept hesitating.

After struggling for a while the creature let out a high-pitched howl that could make one’s ears bleed before it left in discontent. Zi Han glanced at the hovercraft that had crashed in the glass field and decided to take a look. This task however turned out to be much more difficult than he thought. The hovercraft had landed at a place densely packed with obsidian glass shards.
